Andreevskiy Spusk is one of the most famous historic streets in Kiev. It is a traditional street for arranging concerts, art festivals and different city holidays.
Askold grave is the part of park on the right side of river Dnepr. In 882 king prince Oleg killed 2 sons of Kiy (Askold & Dir) to became ruler of Kiev Rus and site of Askold’s tragic death was marked by this chapel.

Babiy Yar is a world known place of a grief over the victims of cruel genocide, anti-Semitism and the World War II. Babiy Yar is a communal grave of thousands people that were killed by Nazi. Each September 29 Babiy Yar gathers people who lost their families in the days of the Nazi invasion.
The Golden Gate is one of the unique fortification and architecture monuments. It was constructed in 1017-1024 and served as an entrance to Kiev. This name reminds of a famous entrance to historical Constantinople city.
Immediately after construction of the House with Chimeras was completed, it became surrounded with numerous legends. One says that the architect decided to construct and build this house after the death of his daughter drowned in Dnepr river. So architect went crazy decorated it with the river’s inhabitants. Independence Square, or Maidan Nezalezhnosti is the central square of Kiev, the main and the most beautiful one. All parades, concerts, festivals and other city events with holidays always take place on this square. It contains fountains, Independence Column monument, artificial waterfall, Angel monument and other attractions.
Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra .According to the legend, Andrew the apostle, blessed the hilly bank of the Dnepr River and said: “On these hills one great city and many churches and chapels in glorification of Holy God will be”.

St.Sofia Cathedral - world famous historic and architectural monument of the first half of the 11th century, its name comes from Greek word “sofia”, that means “wisdom”. Built in the times of Yaroslav Mudriy, the church served as a social, political and cultural center of Kiev Rus.

Vladimirskaya Gorka is almost a visit card of Kiev. It is a green and cozy park with old pavilions offering views on the left bank of the Dnepr River. Kiev Museum of Wax Figures The idea to establish a museum of wax figures in Kiev came after its founders familiarized with exposition of London museum . Now the exposition consists of more than 60 exhibits.

Kiev Museum of Eastern and Oriental Art. The Museum was founded on the basis of private collections of Bogdan and Varvara Khanenko. They also call it the Museum of Western and Oriental Art. Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life.To the southwest of city, in one of picturesque settings of Pirogovo village located amazing open-air Museum of Ukrainian Folk Architecture, Rural Life and Folk Art. The museum was founded in 1960s and containes the unique collection of folk architecture from all regions of Ukraine.

The State Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art has one of the biggest collections of folk art in the ex-SSSR countries. The history of the museum’s collection comes from late 19th century when a group of prominent Ukrainian and Russian cultural figures became sponsors for foundation.

National Academic Theater Named after I.Franko.The theatre represents the traditions of Ukrainian theatre but tries to combine them with modern European drama. This theater toured a lot. National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after T.G. Shevchenko. It is the oldest musical theatre in the country. It was found in 1867.At that time Ukraine was a part of Russian Empire, mainly the operas of Russians were staged ( Mermaid by A. Dargomyzhskiy, Life for Tsar and Ruslan and Lyudmila by М. One of the most popular theatres in the Ukrainian capital is Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesya Ukrainka.It is located in the historical part of Kiev, a few steps from Kreschatik str.
